What People Are Saying about Heirloom Lactation

“Cara from Heirloom is a treasure. We hired her to assist with weaning my 15 month old. She offered a number of approaches with great information, resources, and experience. We created a plan together and when it didn’t go exactly “to plan” she helped me reassess and make plans moving forward. Her support following our consultation went above above and beyond. Following up regularly to see how we were doing. — Cara really helped me clarify how I wanted to approach my breastfeeding journey and how I might bring that to a close. As a bonus, she’s awesome at helping navigate your insurance if you’re looking to make a claim for reimbursement. — Can’t say enough about Cara’s kindness and professionalism. Thank you, Heirloom Lactation!”

— Sarah S.

“Cara is absolutely amazing! She helped me through my breastfeeding journey with my first. My daughter was born at 36 weeks and had trouble gaining weight. Cara was so supportive with my desire to breastfeed and incredibly knowledgeable. With her support, I was able to get my daughter on the growth curve and we are still exclusively breastfeeding. I couldn’t have done it without her!”

“5 stars! During our appointment, Cara had lots of helpful information, was incredibly considerate and provided me with the tools I needed to make breastfeeding less painful. She gave me information on latch/positioning, nipple cream, spray for pumping and hydrogel nipple pads to help with healing and then continued to check in with me regularly after our appointment. I would highly recommend Cara. The insurance coverage process was so easy and she is so knowledgeable in what she does as well as kind! A week after our appointment and I have zero pain. Our nursing journey couldn’t be going better!”

— Julie C.

“I loved working with Cara. She helped me utilize the Lactation Network to get my sessions covered by insurance and was kind and patient. I felt I could be honest and open up to her about my struggles breastfeeding. She gave me helpful pointers after observing and my baby and I are nursing much better now..”

“I found Cara through our local La Leche League 4 years ago. I was definitely at my lowest point in my postpartum/breastfeeding journey. Being a postpartum nurse I thought I was prepared. HA! I wasn’t. Cara spent so much time troubleshooting with me for my 1st baby who was colicky and tongue tied. When my second baby came along I wasted no time getting in touch with my “go to breastfeeding girl.” Baby number two was easier, but also tongue tied. Not only is Cara incredibly knowledgeable on all things breastfeeding but she supports you as a whole being. She helped ease the worries of my mind being a first time (anxious) mom. She continued to lift my spirit up and helped me to trust myself as a new mom. Postpartum is no joke, and Cara is definitely a full package deal. Thank You, Cara, for your endless support! I would have been lost without you!!”

“Cara has been a miracle worker for me. I just recently gave birth to my son. In the first week he was having difficulty latching and breastfeeding was frustrating and stressful for all of us. I called Cara and she was able to come to our house the next day. I was immediately comfortable with Cara, she has a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor. She was extremely detailed in looking at my son’s mouth and watching my breastfeeding technique. She provided great information and materials, and I have been breastfeeding successfully ever since. She has been a continuous resource since then. She checked in with me daily for the first week or so. She has been a great communicator and has knowledgeably answered all my questions and concerns. I now call her my lactation fairy godmother, and would recommend her to everyone!”
